About the Toronto Centre for Sports Medicine

We are a multidisciplinary sport medicine and rehabilitation clinic in the heart of Toronto started and directed by Dr. Jack Hakoun who has over 26 years of international sport medicine experience.

Dr. Hakoun practices sport medicine in Toronto and in Israel. He has lectured internationally on sport medicine topics and teaches sport medicine both in Canada and in Israel. He has worked with a full spectrum of patients from high level Olympic athletes to inactive individuals with injuries or a desire to become more active. Dr. Hakoun's approach to medicine involves treating the individual as a whole by addressing both the physical and emotional issues as they may affect a given individual and their condition.

Our goal is to provide all patients with a medically sound, personalized, comprehensive, effective and efficient treatment program that addresses their issues and prevents recurrences.

Patients come to us after having been referred by their family doctors, other treatment professionals and clinics or by word of mouth from our current or past patients.

Self referred patients are sometimes hesitant to come to a sport medicine centre with their physical injuries or conditions unless they have injured themselves in athletics or are highly athletic themselves. Sports medicine is for anyone who genuinely wants to optimize their health and performance whether in regular daily life or high level athletics.
